She was a board member for the NJ Women in Business organization, and in California, a charter member of the Women's Exchange, a peninsula-based business organization. An interest in graphic arts led her to a career in publishing.

After spending 39 years teaching literature and helping other people improve their writing, Bob said good-bye to the high school classroom.
